I have received the following message from Paula Hoogerbrugge who maintains the Greenbelt Action Group website asking for us all to contact the BBC with any comments we might have regarding our Land Management company, Greenbelt.
Last night (thur 19.03.09) My wife answered the door to a young man (early twenties) who flashed an ID with the company name TALK TALK. He asked to come & check our phone line as their had been some changes made at the exchange. He was politely informed that we were not TALK TALK customers . However for some reason he still wanted to enter the house. This was refused , and he had the door closed on him.
Greenbelt activity
The calendar on this page will be used to record the activities of Greenbelt and their contractors on the estate. If you see any activity, you can click on the Google Calendar logo at the bottom right and add the details yourself. Alternatively send an email to brian@delphwynd.net and I'll add the event.
Hi, now that spring/summer is approaching and the kids will be out playing in the street can I appeal to those who like to use the cul-de-sac as a drag race strip to perhaps consider killing their speed to 10 mph rather than one of the kids? I realise this will add an incredible 5-10 secs on to your journey but its disappointing that a number of residents, and those with children!, insist on thundering along the street to their driveway. Thanks to everyone who responds to this.

Hi, just wanted to post a thank you to the 2 guys who helped grit the road into the estate last monday night (2nd Feb). It was much appreciated as I was stuck & I felt a bit embarassed that I did not thank you at the time as I was concentrating on stopping my car from crashing into someones living-room.....
Below is transcript of a letter from Alex Middleton in reply to Gordon Banks' initial contact, passed to me from Gordon Banks' Office.

We used to live in Alloa and when we moved to Tullibody 4 years ago, my children (four of them) continued to attend Alloa academy simply because they had been there all their academic lives. They walk across Braehead Golf course or if I have time, I give them a lift or partway lift before I go to work.
We're currently in the process of having our garage converted to another living space. Looking around the estate, and judging by the number of people who've asked about it, I hope to post an extended article - with pictures! - on how things have went. It might help out those that are thinking about doing something similar and give them an idea on what to expect.
If you've already had this type of job done, please add your comments below and share your experiences.
Sorry about that really bad attempt at a pun
Anyway, an article in today's Alloa Advertiser highlights a Community Event that will be taking place on Saturday 23rd August down at the Delph Pond, our local 'beauty spot' .
